To access the student discount, it is mandatory to present a valid student ID at the time of booking and entry to Machu Picchu. Presenting the document is very necessary to apply the discount; if you do not have a valid student ID, you will need to pay the difference to the adult rate.

The company is not responsible for denied entries to Machu Picchu due to invalid documentation, such as invalid student IDs or expired identification documents. We recommend carefully reading these policies before confirming your reservation. Acceptance of the terms is assumed once payment is made.

Additional Tickets (Wayna Picchu or others)

If you booked extra tickets such as access to Wayna Picchu, please note that these tickets are also non-refundable and non-transferable. If you change dates or cancel, they will be forfeited and will need to be repurchased.

Cancellation Policies – Machu Picchu + Private Guide

1. Cancellations by the Passenger

• If the passenger decides to cancel their tour after having made full payment, the amount paid will be refunded minus the non-refundable deposit of USD 180 per person.
• If the passenger has only made the deposit, no refund will be issued, as this amount covers the advance booking of train tickets and Machu Picchu entrance, which are non-refundable per the policies of the Ministry of Culture of Peru.

2. Cancellations Due to Force Majeure or External Causes

• In case of tour cancellation due to situations beyond the company’s control, such as:
  • Strikes
  • Natural disasters
  • Road blockages
  • Suspension of train services
  • Or any other external circumstance not caused by the company

Train tickets and Machu Picchu entrances will not be refundable under any circumstances, in accordance with the policies of the Ministry of Culture of Peru.

3. Cancellation and Refund Requests

• Must be made at least 2 weeks before the tour start date.
• Requests will be processed during business hours.
• The email must include:

4. Initial Deposit – Non-refundable

• The deposit of USD 180 per person:
  • Is non-refundable
  • Is non-transferable
  • Is non-reusable for another date
  • Cannot be transferred to another passenger

This amount guarantees the reservation of train spaces and the operational organization of the tour. Additionally, it is specifically used for the advance purchase of train tickets.

5. Date Changes

• It is possible to reschedule the tour upon verification of availability.
• An administrative penalty of USD 65 per person will apply, covering the issuance of a new entrance ticket and date change management for the train.
• The possible increase in train fare will depend on availability and type of service, with an approximate increase between USD 30 and USD 40 additional per person.

6. No Show

• If the passenger does not show up on the day of the tour and has not given prior notice:
  • No refund will be issued.
  • The deposit of USD 180 per person will be considered forfeited, as it was specifically used for the purchase of train tickets and service organization.
