Over View – Vip Valley
This is an intensive and comprehensive tour of approximately 10 hours through the heart of the Inca Empire. The tour begins with pickup from your hotel in the morning (approximately at 8:00 a.m.).
The first stop is Chinchero, where you will visit a traditional textile center and the archaeological site. Then, the route heads west to explore the Moray Agricultural Laboratory (circular terraces) and the impressive Maras Salt Mines (requires separate admission ticket).
The rest stop is Urubamba, where you will enjoy an exquisite Buffet Lunch (included) at the Don Angel Restaurant. In the afternoon, you will visit the imposing Ollantaytambo Fortress, a key military center. Finally, the tour concludes with a visit to the Pisac Archaeological Site, before heading back to your hotel in Cusco, finishing at dusk.
Day 1 : Cusco - Chinchero - Moray - Maras Salt Mines - Urubamba - Ollantaytambo - Pisac - Return Cusco
Our tour begins with pickup from Regocijo Square in Cusco.
The first stop will be Chinchero, where we will visit a traditional textile center to observe the ancestral natural dyeing and weaving process. Then, we will explore the Chinchero archaeological site, its Inca terraces, and the colonial temple.
We continue to Moray, considered one of the most important agricultural laboratories of the Inca Empire, known for its circular terraces that simulate microclimates.
Our next visit will be to the famous Maras Salt Mines, made up of more than 3,000 salt pools. Here, before entering, you must pay the admission ticket to the community, as it is not included in the tourist ticket.
After this tour, we will head to Urubamba to enjoy a delicious buffet lunch (included) at the Don Angel Restaurant.
Afterward, we will arrive at the imposing archaeological complex of Ollantaytambo, where we will explore its temples and monumental stone structures.
To finish the tour, we will head to Pisac. We will visit the archaeological site, known for its agricultural terraces and ceremonial enclosures.
After this last stop, we will head back to the city of Cusco, concluding our tour at your hotel.
