Cancellation Policies – Machu Picchu 2 Days + Huayna Picchu Tour

These cancellation policies for the Machu Picchu 2 Days + Huayna Picchu Tour from Cusco apply to all reservations made with Viajes Peru, an agency specializing in Machu Picchu tours, Cusco tours, and Sacred Valley packages.

1. Tour Cancellations by the Passenger

• If the passenger decides to cancel their Machu Picchu 2 Days + Huayna Picchu Tour after having made full payment, a refund will be issued for the amount paid minus the non-refundable deposit of $180 USD per person.
• If the passenger has only made the initial deposit, no refund will be issued, as this amount covers the advance booking of the train to Machu Picchu and sanctuary entrance, which are non-refundable per the policies of the Ministry of Culture of Peru.

2. Cancellations Due to Force Majeure or External Causes

• In case of cancellation of the Machu Picchu tour from Cusco due to situations beyond the company’s control, such as:
  • Strikes
  • Natural disasters
  • Road blockages
  • Suspension of trains
  • Extreme weather conditions
  • Government decisions

• Train tickets and entrance to Machu Picchu + Huayna Picchu (approximately $245 USD) are non-refundable per the policies of the Ministry of Culture of Peru and the railway companies.

3. Cancellation and Refund Requests

  • Not valid for another date or passenger
• This deposit guarantees:

  • Purchase of the Machu Picchu entrance ticket
  • Reservation of Huayna Picchu entrance
  • Logistical organization of the tour

5. Tour Date Changes

• It is possible to reschedule the Machu Picchu 2 Days + Huayna Picchu Tour, subject to availability.
• A penalty of $245 USD per person will apply, which covers:
• Issuance of a new Machu Picchu + Huayna Picchu entrance ticket
• Date change for the tourist train
• This cost is applied by the railway companies and the Ministry of Culture of Peru.

6. No Show

• If the passenger does not show up on the day of the Machu Picchu tour and has not given prior notice, it will be considered a No Show and no refund will be issued.
