Embark on an unforgettable adventure that combines the adrenaline of ATVs with the Inca legacy. The tour operates in two daily shifts (Morning and Afternoon) to fit your travel plan.

The day begins with pickup from your hotel and transfer to the ATV base in Chequerec (approx. 50 minutes). Here, you will receive a safety briefing, driving practice, and vehicle assignment. The ATV adventure begins through the rural route, with spectacular views of the Andean snow-capped mountains, until reaching the archaeological site of Moray. Your guide will explain the function of these impressive circular terraces, considered an Inca agricultural laboratory.

Upon returning to the base, our transportation will take you to the second gem of the tour: the Maras Salt Mines. Before descending, you can taste artisanal salts and chocolates at a local center. Finally, you will observe the more than 3,000 salt pools up close, active since pre-Inca times. The tour ends with private transportation back to your hotel in Cusco.

📍 Day 1 : Cusco - Chequerec (Atv Base) - Moray - Maras Salt Mines - Return Cusco

We start the day with pickup from your hotel at your chosen time (Morning or Afternoon Shift), heading to the ATV base in Chequerec (50-minute ride). Once at the base, our professional guide will give you a safety briefing and instruct you on ATV operation. After a brief practice, we will begin the tour.

With everything ready, we will take the route to the Moray Archaeological Site. The journey is pure adventure, crossing Andean landscapes with views of the majestic snow-capped mountains. We will make strategic stops for photos. Upon arriving at Moray, the guide will give a complete explanation about this ancient Inca agricultural laboratory. Please note that you will need to present your Tourist Ticket for entry. You will have free time to explore and take photos at the circular terraces.

Once the visit is over, we will return by ATV to the base, where our transportation will be waiting to continue the experience.

From there we will drive to the Maras Salt Mines. Before entering, we will make a stop at a local center to learn about the different types of salt and enjoy a tasting of artisanal chocolates. Then, we will continue to the impressive Salt Mines complex, a visual spectacle of more than 3,000 salt pools. If you have already visited the Salt Mines, you may choose to wait comfortably in the entrance area.

Finally, we will head back to Cusco, ending the tour directly at your hotel.

Booking & Cancellation Policies – Atv Maras + Moray

  • A 50% advance payment of the total cost per person is requested to confirm the tour.
  1. Advance Payment:
  • The amount paid as a booking deposit ensures the availability of ATVs, guide, and transportation. In case of cancellation with advance notice, it may be applied toward rescheduling subject to availability.
  1. Cancellation with Full Payment:
  • If the passenger cancels with prior notice, a refund may be issued with a 20% administrative charge, or the option to reschedule without additional penalty will be provided.

Is the tour safe?

Yes. Before starting, a guided practice is conducted and a safety helmet is provided. The tour is accompanied by a professional guide and the difficulty level is moderate.

At what altitude does the tour take place?

The tour takes place in the Sacred Valley, at over 9,800 ft (3,000 m.a.s.l.). It is recommended to acclimatize in Cusco at least one day before to avoid altitude sickness.

Can I do the tour if I've never ridden an ATV?
