📍 Day 1 : Cusco - Chequerec (Atv Base) - Huaypo Lake - Maras Salt Mines - Return Cusco

We start the day with pickup from your hotel in Cusco at your chosen time (Morning or Afternoon Shift), to board the vehicle that will take us to the ATV base in Chequerec (50-minute ride).

Once at the base, our professional guide will give you a safety briefing and teach you how to operate the ATV, explaining the rules to follow. You will have a short driving practice at the base itself. Once you pass the practice, the adventure begins! We will head toward the beautiful Huaypo Lagoon, riding along rural paths surrounded by incredible landscapes, with panoramic views of the snow-capped mountains. Along the way, we will make strategic stops for photos. Upon arriving at Huaypo Lagoon, you will enjoy a moment to connect with nature, admire the sky’s reflection in its calm waters, and capture spectacular photographs. A small toll of S/ 8.00 per person is required to access the lagoon, which goes to the local community.

After this free time, we will return by ATV to the base. Our vehicle will be waiting to continue with the second part of the tour. We will head to the famous Maras Salt Mines. Before entering, we will make a stop at a local shop, where you can purchase and taste salt-derived products and artisanal chocolates. After the tasting, the guide will explain the ancestral origins of the salt mines. Then we will descend to observe the more than 3,000 salt pools up close.

At this point we will say goodbye to the guide, and you will board the vehicle that will take you back to the city of Cusco, ending the tour directly at your hotel.
